From source to supply
How material moves from the ground to your plant
Five stages, from the workings to a packed, tested order.
Exploration and surveys
Exploration and geological surveys of the workings by SKZ's geologists.

Extraction
Pakistani talc is extracted by open and tunnel mining at sites in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northern Pakistan, then held in stock areas.

Sorting and grading
Lumps are hand-sorted by colour and quality — our talc is graded as coffee, white, grey and green — before milling or bagging.

Milling and meshing
Two meshing plants in the Hayatabad Industrial Zone, Peshawar grind mineral with hammer and Raymond mills across a 250–2500 mesh range.
Talc grades and specifications
Testing, packing and dispatch
The SKZ laboratory in Peshawar tests product samples. Product is packed in 25 kg bags or ton bags and loaded onto trucks or into containers.

Quality and responsibility
Checked in our own laboratory before it ships
We prefer to show our work: the tests we run, how we sort and how we pack.
In-house laboratory testing
The SKZ laboratory in Peshawar tests whiteness, loss on ignition, silica and magnesium oxide content, sieve residue, bulk density and particle size (Bettersizer ST analyser).
Sorting by colour and quality
Lumps are sorted by hand before milling or bagging, so each grade stays consistent.
Printed, labelled packing
Talc powder is packed in 25 kg printed bags with a lot-number field, or in ton bags for bulk orders.
